Old Mission Lighthouse

Lake Michigan has been losing water for about 15 years now, and the temptation for tourists to make their marks is irresistible.
Some mystery flowers at the beach this morning. Like, what is this? I've looked in my books and can't figure it out.

I don't know what this is either.
I thought this was loosestrife... but not ragged enough.
I'm pretty sure this is toadflax.
And the asters are in full bloom.
As is the goldenrod -- all the different kinds.

My mother's 5-pound poodle poses as Bella the Brave.
